For their In Between Thoughts… A New World US Tour, acclaimed Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela needed a full suite of procedural live visuals to accompany the album's themes of philosophy, nature, and transformation. The visual system was built primarily in Houdini, using particle simulations and procedural geometry to generate organic, responsive forms that breathe alongside the music.

Particle systems were developed in Houdini 19.5 using VEX-driven forces to achieve fluid, life-like movement across different visual moments. Renders were produced in Octane Render and composited in After Effects, optimizing for large-format LED screens at arenas and outdoor venues including the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.

The material had to work across multiple aspect ratios and screen configurations simultaneously — requiring a flexible, procedural pipeline that could scale from 4:3 LED columns to wide 16:9 backdrops. Video direction: Erick Sandoval.
